Dr. Lisa Evans has worked in the veterinary field since she was fifteen years old, and continues to provide unbeatable care for her patients today. She earned her Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1988, where she fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian. In 1994, Dr. Evans built Skippack Animal Hospital, recognized as a state-of-the-art and award winning animal hospital. She is a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist, which motivated her to also build WagMore Next Door, the practice's doggie day care and exercise facility. Dr. Evans has professional interests in dentistry, dermatology, avian and exotic pet care, soft-tissue surgery, and disease prevention through proper diet and fitness.
Dr. Evans is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of her clients and their pets. In addition, she volunteers at local area high schools and middle schools inspiring students with discussions about the wonderful profession of veterinary medicine and all of the opportunities it holds. Dr. Evans grew up on a farm with many animals, and currently has two companions, Auggie, a loving rescue dog, and Skye, a rescued German Shepherd. Both of her dogs are skilled and seasoned in agility! She is also a wife and mother of three children. In her spare time, Dr. Evans enjoys triathlon racing, skiing, dressage, playing piano, and cooking fine cuisine.
Dr. Lindsey Martell knew she wanted to help animals since a young age and started working in the veterinary field in high school. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, Dr. Martell completed an internship in anesthesia and critical care, and received extensive training in soft-tissue and orthopedic surgeries. Committed to high-quality medicine and her patients, Dr. Martell is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, Certified Veterinary Pain Practitioner, and trained in abdominal and cardiac ultrasounds. She has professional interests in alternative rehabilitation approaches, specifically treating disk disease and neurological disorders with acupuncture and rehabilitation.
Dr. Martell expresses that her favorite part about working at Skippack Animal Hospital is being able to see and meet so many great clients and pets on a daily basis. When she is not caring for pets at Skippack, she volunteers her time as a rescue veterinarian for Bella Reed Pitbull rescue. Growing up, Dr. Martell's first pet was a beautiful Samoyed named Saka. Currently, she has four rescue Pit bulls named Tyler, Penny Lane, Bella, and Georgi S'ghettios. She also has two feline friends, Wally and Albus, and a draft Mare, Anniah. In her free time, Dr. Martell enjoys horseback riding, rescuing Pit bulls, and visiting the Italian Market where she savors her favorite foods.
Dr. Jon Monschein graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. He currently resides with his wife, Maye the lab, and his two cats, Pomeroy and Winston. In his spare time, Dr. Monschein enjoys skydiving.
