- Prior to every surgery performed at our facility, a physical exam and pre-anesthetic blood work are performed to guarantee your pet is healthy enough for surgery and can withstand anesthesia.
- During surgery, continuous anesthetic monitoring and comprehensive pain management is always performed.
- After surgery, we continue to meticulously monitor your pet’s pain level so that he or she will wake up pain-free and as comfortable as possible.
Advanced Veterinary Surgical Services
Soft-Tissue Surgery generally includes any procedure unrelated to the joints or bones. This includes spay/neuter procedure, trauma and laceration repair, mass removal, hernia repair, bladder stone removal, and more.
Surgical Oncology is performed to provide pets with cancer the most comprehensive treatment, prevent the spread of cancer to other areas of the body, and to improve overall quality of life.
Orthopedic Surgery is performed to relieve pets of painful bone, joint, and spine conditions. Our clinical team performs orthopedic treatment for ACL tears, fractures and dislocations, cruciate ligament tears, and patella luxation.
Mass Removal is recommended for cancerous and benign tumors, cysts, and hernias. If your pet’s mass tests benign, there is still a chance the growth can become cancerous over time. Completely removing the mass prevents cancer, as well as the area growing or spreading to other areas of the body.
Gastrointestinal Procedures treat conditions of the stomach and intestines like acid reflux, Barrett’s esophagus, colon cancer, gallstones, and hernias.
Splenectomy Surgery involves the total removal of the spleen. Typically, this procedure is only performed when all other treatment methods are unsuccessful.
Foreign Body Removal is necessary when pets ingest a foreign object that cannot pass safely through the GI tract. If your pet ingests a foreign object, call us right away as this can lead to serious medical concerns and even death.
C-Sections are performed to reduce fetal stress and in some cases when puppies are undeliverable for a number of reasons such as size, shape, position, or pelvic size.
Spay/Neuter Procedure
Spay/Neuter Procedure is recommended for all pets. It promotes a pet’s best heath, and is beneficial for their human family members, too.
- Spaying is a complete ovariohysterectomy of female dogs or cats, or the surgical removal of the ovaries and uterus.
- Neutering is the surgical removal of both testicles in male dogs and cats. Do not fret – it sounds scarier than it is. Your dog won’t miss them!
Spaying or neutering your pet eliminates undesirable sexual behaviors, prevents unwanted litters, increases longevity, and significantly decreases the risk for certain diseases like testicular cancer, as well as mammary and uterine complications. Spay/neuter procedure also makes your pet a more loyal and loving companion to your family!
